Why this work
Sincere entheogenic faith communities deserve clear, accurate formation guidance. We started this practice to help founders build documented structures that reflect their beliefs, practices, and sacred purpose.
The problem we kept seeing
A founder with a genuine calling assembles an entheogenic church from downloaded templates and forum threads. The documents contradict each other. Nobody knows who governs. There are no minutes, no membership standards, no financial controls, no written policies for the things that actually carry risk. And somewhere in the file is a claim that the organization is beyond the reach of government.
When that community later needs a bank account, a lease, an insurance policy, a serious conversation with counsel, or simply a peaceful succession after a founder steps away, the structure does not hold.
What we do instead
We sit with founders, understand their entheogenic beliefs and practices, and prepare an organizational package that is internally consistent, appropriate to the state, and written in language a member can read. We explain the tax landscape accurately, including the parts that are unsettled. And we mark clearly where a licensed attorney or tax professional must take over.
Entheogenic Church Resources is an educational, consulting, and document-preparation service. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal or tax advice. If attorney credentials are added to this practice in the future, this page will say so explicitly and identify the licensed professional and jurisdiction.
How we work
Four commitments
Accuracy over hype
We would rather lose a client than repeat a claim we cannot support. If a promise sounds too good — automatic exemption, guaranteed protection, immunity — it is not true, and we will say so.
Documents that match reality
Paperwork describing a community that does not exist is worse than no paperwork. We build around what you actually practice, and we ask hard questions to get there.
Respect for tradition
We serve founders across many traditions and we do not appropriate anyone's lineage. Where a practice descends from Indigenous or established religious traditions, we encourage precision and humility.
Clear professional limits
We are not attorneys and we do not pretend otherwise. We tell you exactly when a question needs a lawyer or a CPA, and we would rather hand off early than overstep.
